Marriage Support Fund
Objective:
The Koshur Foundation is deeply committed to the welfare and well-being of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Understanding the financial strains some families face, especially during significant life events like marriages, the Foundation has launched the 'Marriage Financial Support Initiative'. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged families within the community during the marriage of their daughters.
Why This Initiative:
Economic Relief: Reduce financial burdens on families struggling to bear the costs of marriage ceremonies.
Community Building: Strengthen community ties by supporting each other during significant life events.
Preserving Culture: Ensure traditional Kashmiri Pandit wedding ceremonies are carried out with all cultural rites and rituals, regardless of financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant should be a Kashmiri Pandit.
The family's annual income should be below a certain threshold (to be decided by the Foundation).
Proof of economic status is mandatory.
The applicant should not have received financial support from any other organization for the same purpose.
Assistance Details:
The financial assistance provided will cover various aspects of the wedding, including:
Venue and logistics.
Traditional Kashmiri attire and jewelry for the bride.
Catering with traditional Kashmiri dishes.
Cultural and ritualistic expenses specific to Kashmiri Pandit weddings.
Note: The exact amount and areas of coverage may vary based on the family's requirements and the Foundation's evaluation.
Application Process:
To seek assistance, eligible families must submit an application form. The form will require details about the family, their financial situation, and the bride. Once submitted, the Foundation's team will review the application, possibly conduct an interview or a home visit, and then decide on the assistance to be provided.

Civil Services Exam Aid
Objective:
The Koshur Foundation recognizes the significance of civil services in shaping the future of our nation. Our 'Civil Services Examination Support Initiative' aims to provide financial assistance to deserving Kashmiri Pandit students aspiring for a position in the esteemed Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Indian Military Services (IMS).

Orphan Support Initiative
Objective:
The Koshur Foundation deeply empathizes with children who have lost their parents to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim with this initiative is to ensure that these children continue to receive education and have their basic living expenses met, allowing them a fair chance at a prosperous future.
Why This Initiative:
Immediate Relief: To provide immediate financial and emotional support to children facing unexpected adversity.

Objective: To create a comprehensive cultural center that encapsulates the rich heritage of Kashmiri Pandits from the 6th century to the present, including a temple dedicated to Mata Khirbhawani.

Content: A detailed timeline starting from the 6th century, illustrating key historical events, cultural evolution, and the resilience of the Kashmiri Pandit community.

Theme: "Legacy of Wisdom: Kashmiri Pandit Scholars through the Ages"
Content: Portraits and biographies of prominent Kashmiri Pandit scholars from the 6th century onwards. Interactive screens to showcase their contributions to various fields such as philosophy, astronomy, medicine, and poetry.
